These boots are ADORABLE! Super comfy and go with almost anything. I've worn mine with a fitted dress and jean jacket on a weekend, and even to work on casual Friday with colored skinnies, a loose top and a fun scarf. They're so versatile that I'm taking them with me on a weekend trip to NY city next week... so that will be the real test on comfort!

They do run a bit big so size down 1/2 to full size.

I must start this review saying that I am the proud owner of 30+ pairs of Steve Madden and Steven brand shoes. Steve Madden has secured a place in my closet as a designer whose shoes are not only stylish, but also of fantastic quality and generally comfortable. I thought I'd have no problem with these Madden Girl boots, but I was sorely disappointed. They were HUGE, definitely a full size too big, and not the kind of big that can be remedied with an insole or a thick pair of socks. Aside from the sizing issue, when I slipped these on my feet the first thing that popped into my head was clodhoppers...not attractive, extremely oafish and awkward. I read the many reviews on these boots, mostly positive, and was hoping they would work out for me, but alas, there is a first for everything....

I really liked the style of this bootie when I first saw them. They're not real leather, and that was kind of a turn off, but the pictures on the website are very accurate. I was a bit concerned after reading the review about the size...and they do run big. I typically wear an 8 in flats, but ended up getting a 7 in these and I still have a little space at the toe (it's not likely I'll be wearing big socks in Vegas, but if you're in a cold spot this extra space will come in handy).

I wanted to wait to write this review until I had actually worn them a bit. I had a trip to Europe and wore them around w/ no problem. They were incredibly comfy and worked with most of my outfits. The only real issue I have with them is that the back kind of bunches up when you're putting them on. So you have to get a good hold on them when you shove your foot in. But it's not a huge deal.

I can't wait to get them in brown and I definitely recommend this bootie!
