They are super comfortable and the perfect height for a mother of one toddler and one preschooler. I thought the color was going to be more of a true taupe, but it is closer to a light brown. I'm okay with it since I'm more of a brown boot girl anyway, but I may end up wanting to buy another black bootie later since these aren't the more grayish taupe color that I hoped would go with everything. The look of it is also very distressed, and I'm not really sure about it. I guess I don't have to worry about scuffing them, since they already looked scuffed up, which is probably a good thing with having my two kids. But more than anything, I'm just excited to have found booties that are comfie and stylish enough to wear while out and about with my children. I wish the shaft was a bit taller, however. I wanted to be able to wear them with dresses, skirts, and especially skinnies, and they just did not look good with pants tucked into them. I tried on several pairs of jeans and cords, and none of them really looked quite right simply because there wasn't enough room (for me) to tuck pants into these boots.
