I ordered these boots because Clarks has always come through for me with quality and style.

They are classic enough to use more than this, the year of the boot, and I am sure I will wear them a lot. But now, before I reach for them to complete an outfit, I find myself asking if I will be on my feet for long, because the angle of the boot puts a real strain on my arch. I find myself trying to flex my foot, but cannot, due to the rigidity of the design.

This is a lovely bootie, but pretty uncomfortable. The steep heel makes the balls of my feet hurt after about five minutes. If you go with this bootie, make sure you buy a supplementary insole.

I saw a version of this shoe in a local shoe store and really liked the overall style but hated the fact that it was factory "distressed." I'm frankly not a fan of factory-distressed jeans, let alone distressed shoes, and prefer achieving the distressed look through my own wear and tear. So, I was delignted to find the same shoe (suede, in taupe online, seemingly without the distressed look in either the views of the shoe or the description. But I was angry when I opened the box to find that the pair I orderded is, indeed, distressed! The toes and heels have a slightly "oiled" effect that makes them look a little worn. Why can't they show this in the pictures or tell you this in the description?! I should also mention that the color is a much darker taupe than the color in the image.
