I'd say they are true to width, and well-fitted at the heel, which means they don't slip very much, and that's usually a problem for me. True to color...not so much. Cognac is more like a medium brown that doesn't have the rust undertones I expected from "cognac", and dark gray is a dark grayish brown. Both colors are nice, though, and you can't beat the sale price! Not only was the price great but the shoe fit well. After reading reviews about ALDO running on the small side I was concerned because I usually wear an 8.5 and that is the biggest size they had, thinking that a 9 would be ideal, I went ahead and ordered the 8.5 and to my surprise it fit. I felt that the shoe was on the narrow side but it is not bad and I can deal with that because everything else fit great and looks great!
