I got two colors in this shoe: gray and brown. I am very pleased with the shoe in both colors, and couldn't be happier. The gray and brown both have a distressed appearance which I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. The gray is suede material and has a scuffed mark along the side and the brown is not suede, but MIA was clever in giving it subtle wrinkles in certain areas to make it look worn. According to to the brand, the shoes have been aged to give the distressed appearance giving these shoes such character! They are distressed in just the right areas and in the right amount- it's not overdone. I am able to wear them to work in a business casual environment and when I am out in jeans. I am very fond with the MIA brand next to the FRYE brand and have been for years now- MIA makes quality shoes with such excellent craftsmanship. The sizing also fits just about right (I'm a 7.5 medium). Like I said, I couldn't be happier with the shoes that I bought through AMAZON.

SO glad these shoes worked for me! I'm generally size 9 or more often 9.5 US, but the largest size available in these was an 8.5 so I took a chance and lucked out. All that to say, I guess they run a little big. I find them comfortable enough to wear with just a thin sock, although they're not cushy inside. They're a great go-between fall shoe ~ somewhere between an oxford and a boot that works perfectly with the current menswear look (think rolled-up baggy jeans, tweed ankle pants - you get the picture). Definitely look like something you borrowed from your grandpa's closet, which I love!

Easy to put on with laces. Fits like a boot without having to tug. Moderate quality suede leather. Love the modified western style heel. Goes well with jeans, khakis or casual pants. Like this bootie well enough to buy it in brown. Could have a little more cushion inside. Fits true to size. The toes are rounded so no pinching if your foot moves forward when walking like the pointed toes can do.
