These have an excellent tread that provides more traction on icy pavement. I normally wear a size 7, which is what I ordered, and these are mostly true to size. They fit, but are a teensy bit snug. I wish I had ordered a half size bigger. However, by loosening the laces, I can still wear them comfortably. Those that are accustomed to wide width shoes may want to consider a half size larger. The product image is fairly accurate as to the style and shape, and they are very cute. However, the black is NOT true black. These are actually more of a very dark, muddy brown in person. They are still attractive, but I was hoping for a shiny black as pictured. Please see my pictures of the actual boots, against the black box they came in.Overall, it was too much of a hassle to return the boots because the color is not accurate. I do like them, and feel they are worth the price I paid...
