I went a 1/2 size smaller after reading other reviews and they fit fine. (I had to return the first pair because of the shoddy workmanship on that pair; there was glue spilled over from where the sole meets the shoe and it was on the suede in several places plus the stitching on one shoe was coming off.) My replacement pair is perfect, no excess glue on the suede and stitching is perfect. The boots are also comfortable, not as comfortable as my Naturalizer boots but more comfortable than my Nike sneakers! lol I bought the "dark olive" pair and they look like a pretty brown color. The other "brown" colored boots look stark whereas these have a more textured look and are not too green as true "olive" would be. I'd consider these brownish. They remind me of the "waffle stomper" boots we used to wear in the 80's in Okla. & NY, but these are now more girlie. :) 1 of 1 people found the following review helpful Classic RL!, By P.K. The brown is a deep, rich, color & the suede is of high quality.
